Dubai Global CSR Convention - PB Energy Solutions - Press Release

In April 2012, Phyllis Boardman was invited to speak at the 7th Global Corporate Social Responsibility Convention in Dubai and joined speakers such as His Highness Sheikh Ahmed Bin Saeed Al Maktoum, President, Dubai Civil Aviation Authority; Chairman, Dubai Airports & Chairman and Chief Executive, Emirates Airline, including my plenary chair M George Muthoot of the Muthoot Group.

Green Trade Mission to USA

Phyllis Boardman was delighted to be one of a small party of business delegates joining the Energy and Climate Change Minister Greg Barker on the Green Trade Mission to the US. The delegation of 5 businesses was a mix with her micro-SME to the large PLC Rolls-Royce (6-10 May). The purpose was to strengthen the UK-US trade relationship and build an economic and business case for the move to a low-carbon future.

Why make the ‘Green Deal’ a ‘Black Deal’?

The Green Deal is an innovative concept to improve the UK’s poor performing stock, create jobs, stimulate growth, and reduce harmful carbon emissions. Why are there so many sceptics; and so many people wanting it to fail? Industry, Government and the public need to be pulling in the same direction. Phyllis expands green business interests with Greg Barker

On behalf of the UK’s SME sector, Phyllis Boardman aims to tap into the growing global market in green goods and services to seek out a huge range of opportunities for UK businesses. The minister will visit Georgia and Texas from May 6 to May 10 with executives from KiWi Power Ltd., Parhelion Underwriting Ltd. and of PB Energy Solutions Ltd.Greg Barker, Minister of DECC says what is good for the planet can be fantastic for business too. He wants to help British entrepreneurs and companies seize those opportunities with both hands…..

This is great news for energy assesssors. DECC in conjunction with Asset Skills are launching the Green Deal Advisor training, available in July, to ensure delivery of the Green Deal from October 2012. Read on for more details:

SME focused Green Deal Provider for Green Deal Consortia

YES has exclusive Green Deal Pioneer Provider status for PB Energy Solutions’ ‘Green Deal Consortia’ website – www.greendealconsortia.co.uk. The Consortia will provide YES with access to the necessary SME capacity to support its role as an SME focused Pioneer Green Deal Provider. This partnership will strengthen the Green Deal Consortia website by providing the Consortia members with immediate access to an accredited Green Deal Provider from the launch of the scheme in October 2012.
