DECC have now launched the Green Deal Cashback Scheme which offers £125 million of incentives to Green Deal customers. The scheme is time limited and open to one per household. It must involve a package of improvements with the householder contributing to installation costs and the work overseen by an authorised Green Deal Provider. To qualify you must have a Green Deal assessment carried out on the property now. Call me on 08435 065285 to book your assessment as rates are guaranteed for the first £40 million of the scheme, so customers need to get an assessment carried out now in order to qualify. Planning on External Solid Wall Insulation is clarified.
The installation of external solid wall insulation constitutes an 'improvement ' to a house rather than an ‘enlargement’ or ‘extension’. This means that in many cases it can be carried out under permitted development, and a planning application may not be required. This applies in England and Wales. This clarification can be found in the Permitted Development for Householders: Technical Guidance on Planning Portal, the Government gateway to planning information throughout the UK, at: http://www.planningportal.gov.uk/uploads/100806_PDforhouseholders_TechnicalGuidance.pdf
To install External Wall Insulation, you need to be PAS 2030 certified. Call now for a fast track process. Tel: 08435 065285.
