The missing links in the Green Deal are now appearing. We already have 22 Green Deal Providers, with many more to be announced. UKAS announced the first accreditations for Green Deal Certification of Installers and Advisors; and MRASCo Ltd signed a contract to build Green Deal Central Charge database.
The Green Deal launch is still on course for 1 October 2012, although the commercial aspect of the initiative has been postponed to address some complexities. The domestic Green Deal launch will be a managed process from the 1 October to ensure that demand does not outstrip supply.
We have secured, in partnership with YESprojects, access to the 3.5 million to address the skills shortage and to get a delivery model Green Deal ready very quickly.
As we enter an important phase of Green Deal preparations, we have opened offices at the Wigan Investment Centre, Waterside Drive, Wigan Lancashire WN3 5BA with another office to open soon in the Warrington area. Our new Company, Green Deal Consortia Ltd will pioneer and lead the consortia approach in order to develop delivery agents around the UK. The first one will be in our own locality of Wigan and Leigh. Prospective participants in the Green Deal are invited to apply as detailed in the article link below.
I also offer feedback on two very successful international visits: speaking at the Dubai Global CSR Convention; and the UK Green Trade Mission to the US with Minister of Energy and Climate Change Greg Barker. Both were unforgettable fantastic opportunities! This, together with my shortlist nomination for the Sustainability Executive Leader of the Year 2012 will certainly help my clients with their own brands and profiles.
