In this edition I bring together some of the week’s events in the Green Deal and Solar Industry.
The government has confirmed a slash to solar incentives, cutting the feed-in tariffs available to domestic and small-scale business installations, from 43p to 21p per kWh. This has put the solar industry into dismay, with a mad rush for solar panels to be fitted before the deadline date of 12 December in order to take advantage of the high tariff.
Don’t be confused about the tariffs. I have provided a simple outline of the eligibility criteria and deadlines in a clear and easy article.
Government’s energy policy is a major priority and is at the core of the Green Deal to launch next Autumn. This scheme will provide your small to medium business the opportunity to install a range of energy efficiency measures without the need for upfront costs. Check out my article.
If your business wants to take advantage of the Green Deal in terms of installing any of the packages of measures, see how you can get Green Deal Installer Accreditation.
